Creech St Michael Baptist Church
Brief History
The Baptist Church in Creech St Michael begun when Mr James Blatch Cox of Silver Street Baptist Church was directed to conduct an ‘occasional’ ministry at Creech. A Sabbath school was formed in 1816 and in 1824 the congregation decided that they needed a more permanent base and the first Chapel was built on land bought by Mr Cox from Francis Gale. Creech St Michael Baptist Church is in the centre of the village and is a lively and friendly place to go. The church holds regular Sunday Services as well as various youth activities through the week for ages 7 -18, a thriving Parents and Toddlers group and also hosts the Cub Scout Pack and Beavers.
Sunday Services are normally held at 10.30am & 6.30pm and a lively programme of children's & teenager's groups is provided during the Morning Services. Details of all our services and midweek activities are published on the church notice board or are available on our website at
