Art Group

There are two groups of amateur artists who meet at the Village Hall each week on Monday and Thursday mornings 10am to 12pm.

 

The Monday Group tries to meet all Mondays.

 

The Thursday Group meets Thursdays in term-time only.

 

Both groups are basically untutored and many in the groups attend occasional workshops and demonstrations given mostly by local artists.

 

Although serious work is attempted and accomplished, there are also 'social' gatherings of like minds, and benefit from the sharing of techniques, ideas and advice.

 

Each member has a style of their own, and the media included are oils, acrylics, pastel, watercolour, pencil and more.

 

Both groups experiment with mosaic, cross stitch, Barge Art, silk painting and tile decorating.
