Planning Application withdrawn

The outline planning application that was submitted to Taunton Deane Planning
for the redevelopment of Creech Motors Site in the centre of the village, has now been withdrawn by Humberts on behalf of their client Mr M. Tucker.
There was considerable opposition sent to the planning officer, from local residents as well as the Parish Council, regarding the proposed type of development.
These included safety issues, house design, inadequate parking, waste disposal, access and rights of way, in addition to the loss of jobs and established businesses.
A point was made from a resident in favour of the development regarding an issue of noise pollution from one of the present businesses on the site.
However, it has been intimated on the Taunton Deane Planning website that an alternative planning application may be forthcoming.
