Delivered by volunteers to homes in Creech St. Michael, Ham, Langaller, Creech Heathfield, Adsborough, & Thurloxton, and supported by CSM Parish Council.

New Medical Centre
Work has begun on the new medical centre for Creech St Michael at Hyde Lane. Plans for a two-storey doctor’s surgery were passed in September, on green field land near Rockett’s Cottages and the primary school. It will include 42 parking spaces.
A housing development, named Hollinsworth Park, is also being built on adjacent land, providing a new road into the village from the Recreation Ground. It will comprise three, four and five-bedroom properties by David Wilson Homes – see www.dwh.co.uk

Ham Bridge Opening
The new single span bridge at Ham was officially opened on Friday February 12. Somerset County Council removed the old bridge in December 2008 after site inspections revealed severe deterioration of the central pier.

Sure Start Centre for Creech
A new purpose built Children’s Centre is due to open at Creech St Michael’s Church of England Primary School in the spring. Services are already up and running, but the new building will allow everything to take place under one roof. Aswell as Childminding, Learning through Play, Baby Massage, and drop in Pre-School sessions, there will be advice and support for parents and carers. See Page 6.

Art, Photo and Craft Show
Visitors can enjoy an Art and Craft Show event at Creech St Michael Village Hall on Saturday March 20 between 10am and 4pm. The hall opens at 9am for stallholders - £6 per table. Please contact Lorraine Charnley on 01823 279761 for further details.

Blankets, Jumpers, Scarves and Woolly Hats are being sought by Creech St Michael Knitting Group to send to Romania under the banner of welfare charity, Christian Response to Eastern Europe. Anyone who has knitted an item or items can contact Ann Thomas at 4 Vicarage Lawns, CSM or phone 442435.

General Election
A UK Parliamentary General Election is expected on Thursday May 6 or before. Anyone wishing to register to vote can visit www.aboutmyvote.co.uk or contact Taunton Deane Council’s Electoral Officer on 01823 356316.
