Fishing
In CREECH ST MICHAEL, The Taunton Angling Association has all fishing rights on the BRIDGWATER & TAUNTON CANAL, from Firepool to Higher Maunsell Lock,
however fishing is ONLY allowed from the Canal towpath bank.
(Except under the overhead power lines, for health & safety)
They also have the fishing rights on the RIVER TONE from Bull Street, to Ham Weir.
Fishing of any type on the River Tone is NOT permitted in the Closed Season from
15th March -15th June inclusive each year.
However this does not apply to the Canal where you can fish all year round.
All fish caught must be returned to the waters, as it is strictly forbidden to take any fish away.
The canal boasts a stock of Roach, Rudd, Tench, Carp, Pike, Perch, Bream and Eels.

Finally enjoy your fishing, the canal, and towpath are shared by boaters, walkers, cyclists,
