HOT OFF THE PRESS
Planning application 4/14/10/007 for change of use of land to a Waste Transfer Site at Old Langaller Lane has officially been withdrawn.
I think we all need to take a pat on the back for putting up a fight against this proposal.
Thank you to all the residents who helped in getting this application refused.
Steve Mansfield

Our thanks from the Hundreds of villagers who objected must also go to you, and your helpers who formed the residents committee, who spent many hard working hours delving into the facts and figures, and submitted such a comprehensive OBSERVATION ! or OBJECTION Statement to Somerset County Council Planners. which alone justified this outcome.
Well Done Steve, and all concerned.

Yes well done Steve, we all did our bit in Langaller too. I went through the planning summary, and put in an objection online to SCC. There was so much complacency in it on the part of the applicants, did they not think we were smart enough to see through the big holes in the wording?! Getting Cllr David Fothergill on side was also a coup, and must have had had an effect on the outcome. It only goes to show what we can do when we all pull together!
